Butter Chicken

Not many people know this but Butter Chicken was actually created in Delhi in the 1950's as a way to use up leftover tandoori chicken and its resting juices. Contrary to belief, it also wasn't made with a touch of cream. This is my version of butter chicken, inspired by the original recipe, just altered to work in your kitchen.

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Marinate the chicken in the yoghurt, chilli powder, coriander, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, ginger-garlic, lime juice and salt. Leave for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
